Message: <blockquote data-quote="Gill Osborne" data-source="post: 1247286" data-attributes="member: 143965">Great thread this! :t:    I'll have to show my hubby Neil to prove that I'm not 'obsessed' just because I want to spend most of my spare time out birding!  He just doesn't understand that the ironing/hoovering/cooking can wait but birds don't!!! :smoke:     I'm pretty boring tho......only ever rang in sick twice to go birding.  The first was in 1992 when my penpal from Kent was up in Northumberland and I got my ex-boyfriend to ring me in sick so I could take friend & her hubby to a few good spots and the second was earlier this year when I slipped on some rocks on Boulmer beach, fell backwards into a rockpool and twisted my knee which came up like a pudding!  I could hardly walk so hubby rang my boss to say I'd be off the next day......but I felt fine next morning so I skived off to Druridge Bay for the day instead of staying in and resting :-O</blockquote>
