I think most comments on here have been directed at the arrogrant, irresponsible owners not the dogs. I love dogs, it's the owners I can't stand usually. A well trained, well behaved dog is a joy. A well trained, well behaved dog owner is a mega rarity worthy of putting on the pager! Well, all I can say is that we must have some pretty acrobatic or very tall dog owners in Norfolk as most of the bags I see hanging around are stuck 20ft off the ground up a tree, or perched on top of scrubby bushes ... well out of reach of a human and certainly not within reach of being 'retrieved'! Far from being put there to be retrieved later, it looks more like the bags have been chucked towards thick undergrowth in the hope they'll vanish out of sight and it's just got stuck on something on the way in. That plastic will be there for years - at least the dog mess on its own will rot down. This is nothing short of littering and shows the contempt with which some dog owners view the countryside they presumably are out there 'enjoying' with their dogs.
