Foggy this morning, one of the first birds to see when I popped out into the garden was a group of 11 Hawfinches in the tops of some fairly distant poplars... 2 later dropped down by the railway line next to the garden, excellent birds.And a bird I have yet to see in the uk!EDIT: re the question whether there are more here than previous winters... last winter there were 2 regulars on the drive, feeding on fallen cherry stones.
