Is the Opticron mm3 80 GA ED/45 with the 20-60x eyepiece worth buying? Does anyone know how clear the image quality is at Max zoom also

If you are not far from Dublin, Conns Cameras are really good at letting you try and compare (and I personally find their pricing generally competitive most of the time, allthough some don't agree).

The MM3 80 and the eyepiece it comes with are at the lower end of the Opticron range. I would ask them to let you try it side by side with the MM3 77, which is at their higher end, and see if there is a big perceivable difference.

I have not had the chance to try either.
