Is this a Mealy Redpoll? (pictures) (1 Viewer)

Following on from this thread, I managed to get a couple of pictures (albeit very poor - camera is hard to hold still enough on 7x digital zoom, plus my windows need cleaned!) of the regular very pale Redpoll which flocks with the others:

Pictures really do not do how pale this bird is any justice, it stands out a mile!

If they are still there, and you camera has the option to do so, you could try turn the "iso" rating on it up a bit perhaps and take some more photos - I don't know what it's on now but perhaps at 400/800 you'll get clearer images if its set quite low? Images will get progressively more "noisy" in all liklihood, but will also be crisper so potentially easier to identify.

Thanks for the help. I've tried to take a better picture but they're all coming out pretty much the same. They were right next to the window earlier and they are quite a bit bigger than the more brown ones, however by the time I'd grabbed my camera and returned to the window the garden was empty so they'd obviously been spooked by a neighbour or something.

Even though the pictures aren't perfect there is hardly any doubt that it is a Mealy. And also noticably bigger as you say. A bird looking like this would not even be considered as Lesser here.
