Is this an oxygenating plant? (1 Viewer)

Please can someone identify this plant, which was part of a ‘mat’ on the waters’ surface. I suppose it was rooted to the bottom of the pond, but this piece broke away quite easily. I don’t want to put an invasive species into my dragonfly pond. Thanks to you all again.

Think it may be one of the water starworts?
Interesting, do they form dense floating mats? Starworts are very puzzling for me, they seem to change in size and shape as the water level drops or rises. I was searching for a water milfoil, but no luck.

Think I have seen them like this but it's not a group of plants I've spent much time looking at.

It is a Callitriche, but you need mature fruits, stamens and possibly pollen to identify which of the variable species you have.
