Is this bird Sick? (1 Viewer)

I live in Atlanta, GA, USA. There is a Brown Thrasher in my yard, and it looks very sick. See pic here - https://imgur.com/a/DdgIT29 and video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYt6OV2PEk4&feature=youtu.be As you can see, it has two very swollen something on the sides of its face, and cannot close its beak. It comes to my deck to try to eat suet pellets, but is having a hard time. Does anyone know what this is? I feel terrible for it.

With those growths (or whatever they are) on the sides of its face if it’s not feeling ill effects now it soon will be.

I'm wondering if they might be tics on both side of its beak. Can you call you local audubon society to see if there is someone they can send out or recommend to come out and take a look and possibly catch it and give a better clue as to what is going on.

Interesting suggestion. If correct, the pouches must be swollen to near breaking point.
