Isan Thailand - Lesser Whistling Duck, another Duck, Jacana's ...? (1 Viewer)

Same place and time as my last post.
e) Quite sure bigger numbers of shy L. W. Ducks I would say. But I never saw so many. (Pics 6172, 6567, 6626).
f) Here I am not sure (Pics 6456, 6539). The first pic does not show really white head on the (male?) left bird. Could this be another species than Pygymy Goose?
g) Jacana's occur here most of the time, and we get even more this year, due to improving water quality with sufficient waterplants coming back in the lake. Non-breeding Pheasant-tailed Jacana's right? About ten of them in his place...

Tnx for all advice....

e) Agree with Lesser Whistling Duck. I can't see anything else in the picture with many birds, but may have missed something.
f) Garganeys - note that they are browner than Cotton Pygmy Goose with a larger bill. With Cotton Pygmy Goose in the background of photo 6539 for comparison
g) Pheasant-tailed Jacana in 6634. The two birds at the bottom left in 6466 are also Pheasant-tailed Jacana, the two birds in the centre-right are Cotton Pygmy Goose and I think the one on the extreme right is also Cotton Pygmy Goose

Great reply, tnx a lot

e) no I had the same impression, they are not rare and this is quite a big number of them. Never found so many. They tend to fly around a lot, in flocks
f) thought about Gadwell, but you give me the solution. Garganeys I find in Holland sometimes too. The white on the head is a male then? The brown one the female...?
g) agreed 100%.. the Jacana's mix with Ducks and Grebes, the Goose too
