Isan, Thailand - Little Grebe, Chinese Pond Heron, Little Cormorant, Cotton Pygmee Goose ....? (1 Viewer)

Two times a morning walk at lake near, at October 31st and November 1st.
a) Little Grebe has to be right, same sound as the ones in Holland, typical behaviour... (pics 6532, 6596)
b) Just to be sure, this should be a non-breeding Chinese Pond Heron (pic 6630)? Can't remember having seen any breeding (chectnut-maroon neck) example... , are they rare or hiding very well?
c) Little Cormorant right? (Pics 6328, 6340)
d) If these are Cotton Pygmee Goose? I have seen them before. (Pics 6298, 6348, 6591)

Tnx for help

a) Yes, Little Grebes
b) Pond Heron sp. It's really difficult to separate species outside the breeding season. Chinese is perhaps more likely, but Javan may be possible. They wouldn't be in breeding plumage at this time of year, which may be why you haven't seen any.
c) Agree, Little Cormorant
d) Agree, Cotton Pygmy Goose
