One is, presumably, an escapee ? The other a juvenile Meadow Pipit ? Any help much appreciated. Thanks, Dave.

1. Australian king parrot or very near relative.
2. A fluffy pipit.
Thanks for info regarding the "red" bird; presumably escaped from someone's home along the south coast or the island itself. As for the pipit; is it a Meadow ? Adult or possible juvenile ? Thanks, Dave.

Yes,
its a Meadow Pipit. Please note all dark bill, lack of yellow-buff hues at the breast and uniform shape/thik of breast and flank streaks. All these features together makes this a Meadow for me, and I assume Butty, too.
