Jackdaw with withered? greater coverts, Bempton, England (1 Viewer)

What is going on with this bird, photographed at Bempton RSPB today? Where the greater coverts should be there are just these wispy whitish feathers. Parasite damage? Seems too symetrical. Very interested in the explanation.

Nutcracker

Stop Brexit!
A clear case of Albatross peck damage.

Or alternatively, just moult, exposing down feathers beneath? Seems to be missing one or two tertials too.

Jackdaws are in full on moult at the moment - looks like its just dropped some primaries and coverts (and secs!) and as Nutty says, bits of body down showing through the moult gaps.
