Time for an update October 2009 brought me back to KwaZulu-Natal where I had the honour of showing Mike and Susan Cobley around in the St-Lucia area. We focused mainly on the Isimangaliso Wetland Park area. The species count was 230 in 12 days. On the way to RSA in Dubai we saw an Isabelline wheatear. In RSA a Parasitic weaver ('Cuckoo finch') was the only lifer for me during the entire trip, but a bird I had been looking for for a long time. I found three of these birds on the Eastern shores of Lake St-Lucia. 1186: Isabelline Wheatear - Oenanthe isabellina 1187: Parasitic Weaver - Anomalospiza imberbis April 2010 I visited Athens and the Peloponnesos with my son Wim and my best friend Wim for a short 1-week mixed cultural and walking trip. This added a few lifers to the list: 1188: Rock Nuthatch - Sitta neumayer 1189: Cetti's Warbler - Cettia cetti 1190: Yellow-legged Gull - Larus michahellis 1191: Short-toed Snake Eagle - Circaetus gallicus 1192: Cirl Bunting - Emberiza cirlus 1193: Blue Rock-Thrush - Monticola solitarius 1194: Woodchat Shrike - Lanius senator 1195: Sardinian Warbler - Sylvia melanocephala I have recently moved from Ireland to Bergen, Norway. End of June I was a few days in Tromso for a conference. I also managed to get out for a day and had three lifers (Dotterel, Temminck's stint and Red-throated Loon) and two more I had a few weeks ago here in the neighbourhood, including my (former) boogie bird the goshawk. 1196: Dotterel - Charadrius morinellus 1197: Temminck's Stint - Calidris temminckii 1198: Red-throated Diver - Gavia stellata 1199: Ring Ouzel - Turdus torquatus 1200: Goshawk - Accipiter gentilis
