Sorry Andy, I somehow missed adding your list onto my spreadsheet. Goshawk (and Goldeneye) both now added to the European list, which is now 118 including the other additions. I haven't been through lrodrigues' list properly yet - I've included spotless starling which I can pick out, but if anyone who's more fluent in scientific names could scan it and let me know if there's anything else tickable that we don't already have, that would be useful.

As usual, please tell me if there's anything stupid in the list!

Australia ended on 85 - I think I miscounted earlier.

Europe gains a few more now that I've gone through lrodrigues' list properly. Europe combined gains 4 (Monk Parakeet, Short-toed Treecreeper, Serin, Sandwich Tern) to move to 204, while non-UK Europe gains those 4 plus Jay, Purple Sandpiper and Common Sandpiper to total 125. That's on top of the Spotless Starling I'd already included.

We also got 29 from Japan and 47 from Oman, both of which only had single lists.

Meanwhile, I see the UK list included both species of Bean Goose, for the first time since they were split here. So without needing to check I know there was at least one species seen that's never been reported before on one of these combined 1 Jan lists.

Not sure that follows? Suppose 1 Jan 2016 included a Taiga report, and 1 Jan 2017 a Tundra, you'd only have one species each time, but both would've been recorded in the cumulative total :t:

The UK list seems to be missing Razorbill, which I saw.
