As winter approaches, it obviously becomes hard to see new species of birds for the year. 180 is really the target before the end of the year, and there are a quite a few winter birds there that are evidently missing from the list that I aiming to see (e.g. Long-tailed Duck, Great Northern Diver). Fingers crossed that I pass the target!

I am very happy to say, with this trip to Burghead in Moray that I took a couple of days ago, that I have managed to reach my target, 180 species! I won't be going out birding again this year so it'll stay at 180. I hope to write a review of my birding year and post it here on Birdforum. As for next year list, I'll post that one the first of Jan when I see my first birds of the year, and continue from there. Obviously I hope to do better next year, despite 180being my best total so far. :t:
