Lovely day here until about half an hour ago when a really heavy and squally shower had our name on it! Thunder too and it has produced 10mm rain in that time. Still feeling muggy.

The Goldfinches don't seem to mind being out in the lighter rain, everything else heads for cover!

Neil went off on early shift today so I decided to go for a short walk up towards Hulne Park then down through the field to the Canongate Bridge where there's often Dipper and Kingfisher. It takes about an hour on a normal day...probably because I kep stopping every few yards to look through my bins :-O

Anyway, got my outdoor jeans on, birding bag sorted (green canvas bag that has a strap that can go diagonally across my body and easier to carry than a rucksack) and was just about to pick up my keys when the heavens opened!!! :smoke: It's absolutely chucking it down so it looks like it's ironing time...:-C

It's been grey all day and the rain has threatened from mid morning.....it has finally arrived. Light at the moment, but it's very windy so it feels much worse.

Birds still flocking in, mainly the finches and woodies today.

Not a bad morning and early afternoon, overcast and the odd shower. Steady rain now and looks set to stay that way for the rest of the day.

We are the opposite - the weather has improved as the afternoon progressed :t: We even had a teensy bit of sun at one point :-O

It's grey now but stillwarm enough to have the window open :king:

Lots of thunder and lightening over the weekend.

Weather is still muggy and dull at the same time.

Bit of drizzle this morning and then at lunchtime turned into a glorious afternoon. Sunshine, breezy, deep blue skies and 20°c.

Sunny spells this morning and it was very muggy but a couple of heavy showers around 2pm. Then it got all hot again! :smoke:
It's now rather nice outside - blue skies, fluffy white clouds and a gentle breeze :t: Just a shame I'm off to bed in a few minutes as I'm on early shift tomorrow so up at 4.15am!!! :king:
It's not as bad as it sounds tho'.....I finish at 1pm so plan to nip along to Boulmer for a couple of hours - have a walk on the beach and cliffs and see what I can find :t:

After waking up to more rain (it had been at it all night), it gradually cleared to give a pleasant and warm late morning and afternoon, Still a few beefy showers around but I didn't get caught out in any.

It's been cloudy with occasional sunny spells today. We also had a couple of heavy showers earlier on but now it seems to be brightening up but the wind is getting stronger.

I was late finishing work...didn't get out until 3pm!!! Two hours late!!! :C So no time to go for my walk grrrrr :C Never mind...just tomorrow's shift to do - 5.30am until 1.30pm - and then I'm off until Friday morning. :t: Told Neil that I am going out birding on Thursday...whatever the weather! :king:
