Ok Guys and Gals, I have a serious question! |!|

Who has nicked the star that is the basis of the solar system and that sustains life on Earth, being the source of heat and light? I am in desperate need of some Vitamin D before Autumn/ Winter sets in!|:(|

A substantial reward is offered to anyone who knows the whereabouts of this important star and a further substantial reward if the star is returned safely to the UK. Please be on the look out, remember it is for your benefit too!|8)|

Earth has been invaded by the WET, Pam. :eek!:We no longer have Sun, she has been banished to the outer reaches of space. :eek!:All we have are dark rain clouds surrounding our Planet, producing endless torrential rain. We are all doomed, I say, Doomed.:eek!::-C:smoke::frog::storm:|8.|8-P

I refuse to believe we are doomed, Val!:eek!:

I am not a defeatist, I will carry on with my quest to find the star no matter what! The Sun is energy, warmth, light, and life for humans, fauna, and flora. Our mere existence revolves around it. I will not be put off by such doom and gloom! :storm::cool:

Just to cheer everyone up ...

You will need a brolly on holiday in the UK in August - the Met Office is issuing a revised forecast for more unsettled weather well into the month. It is a far cry from the "barbecue summer" it predicted back in April.
The news will raise questions about the Met Office's ability to make reliable seasonal forecasts.

Found my star and it didn't cost me a penny!:D The only problem was that it was just going to sleep but it promised to appear brightly in the sky in the morning. Put a good word in for you, Val, so keep your eyes peeled in the morning!o:D

Nice end to the day here too, Pam, but not such an obliging sunset. I must check the rain gauge when we take the dog out a little later.

Late evening update....25mm in the 12 hours from 09.00GMT today, brings month's total to 130mm thus far.
