At the moment, it catches between 50 and 150 moths a night, albeit with Common Marbled Carpets and, especially, Heart and Darts outnumbering everything else. On better nights, it averages up to 50 species. The diversity in the garden is the thing that has most surprised me about this new hobby - 185 species since late April.Our garden is suburban, but on the edge of a thin strip of 'woodland' along a cycle path.
