Update! Sun came through at 3pm and it is now a glorious day with blue skies and fluffy white clouds.

We started off very muggy but overcast and as the morning progressed it got darker and darker and the drizzle started at around 11am.
When I finished work at 1.30 you could have easily mistaken it for a November day as it was very dark and grey....but still very warm.
It's now very foggy outside and drizzling again.

I actually much prefer it this way.....too much heat just kills me :smoke:

Between 7 and 7.30 this evening, we had a torrential downpour, no thunder or lightning, but it dumped 14mm (over half an inch in old money) in that time. A mile down the road there was nothing! That one definitely had our village's name on!;)

We had a terrific thunderstorm yesterday afternoon.

What was so different was the Thunder and Lightening was close (like above our heads), then it moved further away. Then it was above our head again. Quite bizzare, and scary at the same time. :eek!::eek!::eek!:

The TV and PC remained off for a while until the storm moved on, and it did thank goodness. :eek!::eek!:

Still remains as muggy as ever here today

Hot and sunny here.

I have just checked the forecast for Wednesday - my son's graduation - and it is going to be 30°c. The poor graduands will be melting in their heavy gowns and mortar boards!

Overcast & muggy, early a.m. with lots of low cloud/mist, rain mid morning, light at first, but heavier later. It has stopped now. Still very overcast & muggy.

Still grey and muggy up here with a few drops of rain earlier on when I was in the dunes at Newton Links this morning.

The sun is just breaking through now *3.06pm*

Hot, hot, hot!!! In fact too hot for walking, which is what I did for the best part of the day! Must be mad, should have sunbathed in the garden instead! o:DGot some good birdies today though!;)

A very disappointing day. Early it was overcast and looked as though it would clear up, then came the drizzle and then light rain on and off through thr late morning and afternoon. Not really seen the sun at all.....:-C

Sun's back!:DLovely start to the day, bright, breezy, sunny and warm. Hope that the breeze continues as it will make the incresing heat easier to bear.

I know what you mean Gill the weather is so hot and bizarre

I have just taken pictures of these thunder clouds outside our house. The sky looks angy.

Very, very hot here in Essex and set to get hotter through the week... not sure I'll cope that well with that! Got up to 26.4c in my kitchen this afternoon but is a few degrees cooler now. Outside is a bit fresher now, very welcome!
