Mmmm.... I only very occasionally hear one here now Euan. At one time I would hear several when I went up onto the moors, and even see them flying around or sitting on fence posts or telegraph wires.

I guess you're having a good time out there lad. Sun has decided to shine this afternoon.

I wanted to film it but it stopped when I was about to press record. I last heard and saw a Cuckoo was a couple of years ago in Loch Eynort in South Uist & Eriskay.

One place where I'd hear and see them consistently was Clyde Muirshiel Park, in the hills above Lochwinnoch. But I've not had a car for quite a few years now and the place isn't served by public transport, so I've not seen any since I got rid of the car.
