Dave I`m a huge Porro fan but if the quoted 11m min focus distance is right for the Nikon it`d be pretty useless for Birding.

The B&S has a similar spec to the Opticron except its considerably lighter which would worry me concerning build quality, I mean its not going to be exotic materials is it ?

For me you won`t go far wrong with the Opticron, but I`d recommend trying them both first if you can.

On the Nikon US website the Action EX 7x35 minimum distance is listed as 16.4th (5m). Not great I'd agree, but better than 11m.

My comments were in my PM.

I was leaning towards the Nikon porro, but the focus distance could be a issue for me, so will probably go for the Opticron, unless there is a similar porro to the Nikon out there within my budget

A lot better (brighter) than the H20 for example in the Bushnell range. A wider view, bigger sweet spot and a slightly warmer colour balance than the Sierra if I remember rightly and gave the impression at least of having a stronger build.

David,

was going to buy that but only available by click and collect, the nearest store available to me is Tottenham Hale, so not sure now

When I last checked out my local branch the Bushnell display was a bit of a wreck. Not much left and clearly some had been dropped. I'd definitely want to check them out in person. Have you checked Curreys as well. Same company, similar deals.
