Black beak, pinkish legs, thought they had black legs. Or is it just the bright light making them look pinkish?

Hello George,

you are right, its a 1cy Kittiwake. Legs of your bird is blackish, I think some light is shining through, resulting in this colour here. Even if not, some weak colour-cast is easy within variation for Kittiwake.

Kittiwake legs & feet are frequently brown, not black - particularly so in juveniles, but also quite a few adults too :t:
