Hi folks .. I am looking for join fellow birders in Kauai who looking for the elusive forest birds - the Akekee, Amakihi, Apapane and Anianiau. After doing a lot of online research it seems that the Mohihi-Waialae trail offers the best chance of seeing these endemics in the month of August - but access to this trail is best done with a 4WD which unfortunately I do not have. If you plan to hike the Mohihi-Wailalae or any other trail in the Alaka'i area, I would highly appreciate it if I could join you in this birding adventure.

Regards
-Sandy
