They climb into hunting towers when the light is still good and focus their binos on the place where deer or boar are expected and then they don't want to focus their binos again because as the light fades at the end of the day it becomes harder and harder to focus accurately. So once they set the focus in good light they don't want to have to move the focus again and more importantly they don't want the focus to be moved accidentally. This is why some bino models have quite stiff focus actions.Lee</blockquote>
