Hi All

Posting this on a new thread. I am trying to pull together a trip to Kenya late October/early November.

The itinerary targets some but not all of Kenya's endemic and restricted range birds, including Aberdare Cisticola, Clarke's Weaver, Sokoke Scops Owl, Malindi Pipit, East Coast Akalat, Fischer's Turaco, Short-tailed Batis, Taita Thrush, Taita Apalis, Taita White-eye, Jackson's Hornbill, Jackson's Widowbird, Taveta Golden Weaver, Mombasa Woodpecker with an enormous supporting cast. The high level provisional itinerary is below though there is potentially some flex in this.

31 October – full day birding on Magadi Road. Night Nairobi
1 Nov - Manguo Swamp, Aberdare NP, Kinangop plains Hell's gate park NP. Night Naivasha
2 Nov- Lake Baringo, Night Lodge in Baringo.
3 Nov -Lake Baringo. Night Lodge in Baringo.
4 Nov - Back to Nairobi Night in Nairobi.
5 Nov - Nairobi national park. Acacia Camp. Ndara Ranch. Night - Sagala lodge, Tsavo.
6 Nov - Taita hills. Lake Jipe, Tsavo West. Night Sagala Lodge, Voi.
7 Nov - Tsavo East, Road to Malindi. Night in Malindi.
8 Nov - Full day birding at Arabuko - Sokoke Forest. Evening flight back to Nairobi.

Kenya is open to visitors with no longer a need to quarantine for UK-based travellers, though a PCR test is required as a regular health declarations on the government ap.

I have a local guide with an excellent reputation who is offering a very reasonable rate for a 9-day tour.

Please PM me if you are interested and would like to know more.

Andrew
