Kittiwake ? Southsea, May 22nd. (1 Viewer)

Need help confirming if these are kittiwakes or another type of gull.

Looked smaller than a regular herring gull but they were pretty far away so couldnt really tell.

Look also at the 'two-tone' appearance of the wings, darker over the back and paler towards the wing tips, which is well illustrated in your photos - a good long-distance character when its difficult to see the all-black wing tips.
