I'm meeting up with my brother and his wife for a holiday in Oban during May.

They'd very much like to see the beavers, but I'm struggling to get any up to date information on them.

A decision was due to have been made on their future towards the end of 2015. The Facebook page doesn't appear to have been updated since November.

Is it still possible to see them? And where?

Hi Ian,

Yes, I've seen them here, but my brother lives in Wales and we're going to Oban. When I mentioned beavers to them.... "Oh yes please, they said". Now I can't get the information I want to take them there!!!

I'm interested in trying for these at the back end of May myself, so I'd be interested to know how you get on. If I manage to dig up any gen in the meantime I'll let you know.

Cheers

James

Thanks James.... I hope you're successful in getting to see them too.

This may be all outdated by now but I've stayed in a cottage at Gariob several times in recent years and have seen fresh signs of them around Loch Coille-Bharr. I haven't seen the Beavers but I've never really tried at the best times of day. There is a sign posted walk that takes you round the loch.

Thanks very much Adam .... got it.

At least I know which part of the forest to head to now, to give them the best chance!!
