Letaba is a beautiful, shady camp, on the banks of the Letaba river, and walking along the river and around the camp (all inside the fence!) can be very rewarding in terms of birds. There is a hide overlooking the Engelhard dam not far from camp which is also worth a visit. I have not yet been to Mopani but friends of mine have and loved it. It is a newer camp, more modern, built so that the fence encloses the natural vegetation plus a huge baobab. It has a wonderful deck overlooking the dam apparently. Do get your bookings done quickly though as the camps fill up very fast. Bookings open eleven months before so you might have to adjust your schedule a little. Hope you will be lucky! Sept-Oct, which you mentioned, is a school holiday period. Try and book for earlier in Sept or later in Oct and you will have a better chance of getting in.</blockquote>
