Hi Tony, my goodness you are well organised and researched - most impressive. A couple of points which may be helpful: Sat 14th. Your flight gets in quite late. Clearing Customs and baggage is a lot quicker than it used to be, but it may still be very late morning before you have picked the car up and are ready to hit the road. The drive will take 4 - 5 hours without stops, so it may be late afternoon before you get to Croc Bridge. You will have to register there and then drive to L Sabie camp where you will need to arrive before 6 (it may be 6.30 in Nov, I can't remember). Unless you manage to get through Croc Bridge before 3.00 I would suggest going straight to Lower Sabie on the tar road. Even this could take several hours due to spottings. On our very first trip we were almost late at the camp gate due to underestimating time. Keep an eye open for white rhino as you enter the park from Croc Bridge - there is often one to be seen, mostly to the left of the road. The Croc bridge area also has regular sightings of lion and wild dog. Sunset dam - crocs and hippo - lots of both. Further to Sals comments the Nhlanganzwani dam was deliberately emptied as it was filled with poisonous algae, so probably won't be full again for a while. We will see in July. Monday 15th. Concentrate around the Sabie river and dams. The area between Lower Sabie and Skukuza is very productive for mammals and birds. If you are having a sunset drive at L Sabie then Afsaal is probably out of reach. It's a long way from Skukuza to Afsaal. I would spend more time at Lake Panic hide. I can't really comment too much on the other areas as we don't know them very well. I'll write up our trip in July, when we will be staying a few days at Letaba and Olifants. Graskop - we really wanted to try the pancakes, but found too late that they only opened in the day. If you manage to get there eat one for me :eat: If you do manage to see a honey badger I will be soooo jealous:king: Feel free to ignore my ramblings - my wife usually does. Allan
