Message: <blockquote data-quote="Tony Knight" data-source="post: 1949293" data-attributes="member: 3371">Really sorry guys but only just realised that despite all the help i received re planning this trip I didn't ever come back to let you know how it went !We had a fantastic time though we were unlucky with the weather.....Saw a beautifully-posed leopard and 2 separate lions during the first 2 hrs in the park just getting to Lower sabie from Croc bridge !Loved Lower Sabie especially and the view at olifantsLuckily saw and photo'd a very early carmine beeater between LS and skukuza - surprisingly no white fronted beeaters on that road but saw many later at Pafurisaw cheetah where the H7 and S39 cross saw none of the real rarities eg trojans but highlights included broad-billed and purple roller, the beeaters, eagle owls, fish eagles, saddle-billed storks, ground hornbills,blyde canyon was fantastic...will try and attach a screen print of the photos i took which shows what we saw and where...and then maybe a couple of the best photos.only downside was the weather - we had about 4 days of non stop rain so missed much of the central park as all the sand roads were closed.  We checked in and out of both Letaba and then shingwedzi without it stopping raining at all !  Luckily the rain stopped by the time we arrived at Punda Maria and though some roads were still closed in the area (eg westward at pafuri), most had re-opened.Anyway, a big thanks for all your help and we are planning to return Nov/Dec 2011, possibly combining kruger with CapeTown !Tony</blockquote>
