Frank, we were at HOm yesterday and also saw a Weasel catch a mouse and run off with it! we saw the weasel as we walked down the newly laid path on the ramp. Possibly the same one? If it was it was having a good day.

Yes, the same one as we were walking back from the other direction i saw it come out of a hole with the mouse, it ran around for a few minutes before i remembered to get my camera out, luckily it came back and ran towards me before disappearing back down the same hole and this was the only pic with the head in focus:king:

Adult Mediterranean Gull present on Lawson's Fields today with a white darvic ring 3N92, also an adult Black Headed Gull on Stanley Park with darvic ring VLJ. The Black Headed Gull was ringed in Denmark and I am awaiting the information about the Mediterranean Gull.

Hi Stephen, I`ve had a couple of presumed Danish colour ringed BHG`s at Seaforth over the last year or so but I`ve never received any info on them after sending the details off.Do you have a contact email address for these ?

cheers, Pete.

Pete,

I don't think that some of the Danish ringers are very good at replying. The previous Danish BHG I had at Stanley Park I got prompt updates but this one we had to chase up (different ringer) to get any kind of reply. I emailed the update that VLJ was here this winter and have had no acknowledgement.

Regards,

Stephen

Peter - I'm loving the Waxwing photo :t:.

Jonny, very nice Med Gull :t::t:.

A notable sighting from yesterday was a Little Egret in the fields adjacent to School Rd, Blackpool.

Today I spent my lunchbreak at Rossall Point, sightings were mainly Sanderlings, I'd say 300+ of them(probably way more), with a few dozen Turnstone and a handful of Ringed Plovers too, also a couple of Dunlin & two male Eider flew on by(I've got photos of the Eider that I'm yet to process).

I've attached a few photos.

Cheers

Cliff

Hi Neil, this is a Lesser Black-backed Gull. Yellow-legged Gulls are slightly paler grey on the mantle( in between "our" Herring Gulls and LBB`s) and also generally larger and bulkier the LBB`s.
