Large gull, south London (1 Viewer)

I photographed this bird from my window this afternoon, assuming at the time it was yet another Herring Gull. But in the photos it looks a shade darker above than L.a. argenteus. I checked Collins for the wingtip pattern: it says Yellow-legged Gull usually shows a broad black band on P 5, and my seems to have only a weak band (all this assumes I'm identifying the feathers correctly). Anyway, I did get a shot of the legs, which to my eye do look a sort of muddy yellowish.

I'd like to get this 100% right, as I haven't photographed Yellow-legged before, and would be grateful for comments.
