On range alone? Or is the separation from Mediterranean Short-toed possible here?
Essentially yes Roland, you would not expect minor (a short distance migrant) to reach N Iran. Separation from this single image is probably not safe though plumage tones, extent of streaking and bill structure look fine for TSTL nominate heinei, the resident form.
