They seem more robust than the mil spec fujinon fmtr-sx. The rubber is thicker and denser with far heavier ribbing. The hinges and eye pieces are very firm. I am now considering keeping these in my van's centre console as my permanent car bino. I'm still concerned re the hottest months.</blockquote>
