These look great! I wonder what the view is like through them. May I ask how these Pergers compare to other Leica binoculars? What is your opinion?

You asked for the view through them. In short, I am smitten. The Northland is still covered in snow, the sun and water make for one sparkling viewing experience. I am not much of a @chill6x6 or @Dipperdapper et al. type analyst , whose reviews we all enjoy. My thoughts on the new Geovid Pro 8x32 are more of a simplistic nature, as in "I like 'em. A lot."

Weight and size wise, they certainly will not trump the 8x32 UVHD+, but are lightweights compared to the Geovid Pro 10x42, as illustrated below:

If Leica were ever(!) to replace the Ultravid series, Perger prisms would be such an appealing choice.

It's great to hear that honking sound just before you see the formations going overhead.
Then there's also the huge gatherings of eagles in early winter on the Chilkat.

Hello @quincy88, yes indeed, they are a very recent purchase, and made it safely to Alaska; just in time for our feathered friends to return.

I AGREE...this IS the best time of the year! Ours are warblers and vireos mostly. Tanagers and grosbeaks too. And let's not forget the orioles.

We get the Sandhills...and a lot of them...by the thousands in the winter along with 5 to 20 whooping cranes. And an OCCASIONAL swan of some type.

I had a great time in the mountains of Crete with my Leitz 7x35B. For my old eyes still a very useful bino. Lightweight, good ergonomics and wide fov.

Greetings all...

Thought I'd post some pictures of the Leica's I currently own. That's all of them except for a 8X42 Noctivid I failed to locate this am. I went birding too and didn't want to spend too much time looking for it.

First couple of pictures is anything Trinovid. Next couple is anything Ultravid/Noctivid. Next couple is the complete lot.

As far as usage goes...a few rarely get used although they all could be ones primary/only birding binocular. I use mostly the 7X42 UVHD+ and Retrovid 7X35 by a good amount. Next would be the 8X42 Silverline(I just like it) and then the Noctivids.

Feel free to add to this post with pictures of your own!

Beautifull collection. I feel handicapped with only two Leica binoculars. But apparently I picked the right ones, a 7x42 UVHD+ and a Trinovid HD 8X32.

The volcanic rocks in the wall look like those around Zion NP in Utah. The evaporation ring around the shore suggests a reservoir, but it's odd that so little of it is showing because they're running low lately out there.
