Hello everyone!
I had actually posted this image 4 years ago here, about the possible ID of the Raptor in this image, which is below the black kite.
The photograph is pretty poor , so an identification could not happen at that time. In the mean time , I had quite forgotten about it, when only yesterday I came to know that the Lesser fish eagle (Haliaeetus humilis) has been recorded from Kashmir in the past.
There are no recent records as far as I am aware, but this Raptor does look like a potential LFE.
What are your thoughts? Could anybody help? I shall be grateful .
