Observado Web Site Sightings 21-27 December 2020
Some rather stunning birds have been found by a Dutch birder and reported on Observado over the past week.
Locations are approximate based on Observado's method of recording.

Western Cattle Egret Bubulcus ibis Achladeri to Skamnioudi
Black-necked Grebe Podiceps nigricollis 3 Achladeri to Skamnioudi Mistle Thrush Turdus viscivorus 4 Panaghia chapel
Levant Sparrowhawk Accipiter brevipes Evergetoulas

Hawfinch - Coccothraustes coccothraustes Plomari (municipality)

Dunnock - Prunella modularis Mytilini (municipality)

I have referred some of the above to Admin on the site and since yesterday, some that were previously
recorded have disappeared, including :

Redwing - Turdus iliacus Mytilini (municipality)
Caspian Tern - Hydroprogne caspia Mytilini (municipality)
Meadow Pipit Anthus pratensis 5 Mytilini (municipality)
Reed Bunting - Emberiza schoeniclus Mytilini (municipality)

I have queried this as it would be a rare sighting for Lesvos.
Mitilini Town.
Lesser black-backed gull (Larus fuscus)
Another query as this is a scarce sighting
