Lincolnshire Birding (1 Viewer)

Bean Geese...

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could give any info on the 40 Beans at Gib this morning? There was a flock of 34 in east Norfolk on Sunday afternoon which I couldn't find in a brief search early afternoon today and was surmising that perhaps these made up part of the Lincs 40, there having been no reports of them since. All my birds appeared to be typical 'rossicus', one of which had a noticeable limp and looked to be ringed on it's left leg. I'm sure if this bird was amongst those at Gib it would've been noticed...

Cheers,

James

Hi all, I had a job finding the Lincs birding thread but got here eventually. Spent the day at Skeggy with the family so wasn't really birding but did have 2 Green Sands over the pier, and then 27 Blackwits flew towards Gib.

After enduring hours of hell at Skeggy it was time for some birding down at Gib. I had just over an hour looking at Tennyson's Sands. The highlight was finding a distant Little Stint. But there was good support from 4 Avocets, 51 Curlew, 3 Green Sands, Common Sand, 2 Ringed Plover, Dunlin, c25 Snipe, juv Shelduck, c40 Teal and a couple of Sparrowhawks. I didn't have time to look anywhere else. Cheers.

Grantham

Hi all,

A kingfisher seen by the river and a red kite (flying low) over St Mary's school while on my lunchtime walk around Grantham today.

I'd really like to go to Marston STW to see the waxwings. Could someone give me details on where to park there please? I can't find any info online.

Thanks! :)
