Will be having a short trip to the above locations very shortly as a look out for a longer stay maybe September time and was just wondering what species I have a chance of seeing and where.

I have heard that Llangollan has a very good chance of Dippers from the main bridge is this still a good location.

Hope I’ve got the spellings correct sorry if not, spelling isn’t one of my best subjects any information would be gratefully received

Many thanks in advance

Adrian

Don't know about from the main bridge, I usually go into the hills to the north + west of Llangollen. Certainly seen plenty of dippers in the area, almost all the small rivers/streams seem to host dippers. In the last few weeks I've also had redstarts in several locations to the west beyond Rhewl, a pair of mandarins on the Dee at Rhewl, plenty of wheatear in the hills above Rhewl. Also heard cuckoos there on 4 occasions but not seen one this year.
If you're not averse to a bit of hill walking, its worth going out and up! Panorama walk + Trevor Rocks is good, as is Worlds End and the Llantsilios.
