Once a bird lover ... always a bird lover
Super video of EJ on her nest. It looks although it is going to be a successful year for her.

Will have a look in and see how she is fairing as much as possible.

A long way to go yet Peewit but off to a good start all the same.

hi Ben

Yes, it is along way to go for them at the moment.

I remember seeing the Osprey's in Garton years ago with my family - on more than one occasion. A person could never get tired of seeing them at all. o:)

They are beautiful birds, as you say we will keep our fingers crossed that everything goes well for them. o:)

Hi Folks,

Odin flew in and E J lifted to show him the egg, not sure if he was baffled or mesmerised. I was expecting some kind of reaction and I think Madam was, he just ignored her and took off again, hope he has gone fishing. He did not try moving the branch.

Hi Folks,

Odin just brought in a fish and EJ moved off the egg, unfortunately he didn't give her the fish but flew off with it himself.

Hi,

Odin has just brought a fish for E J and she has gone off to eat it. After some very careful movements of his big feet he decided he was most comfortable sitting facing the opposite direction to EJ, facing where she had left from.

Hi Folks,

E J has just been trapped under the very large branch that has been obscuring our view, she had just released herself when Odin flew on to the nest and it took him some time to get it moved to the other side. Meanwhile E J has flown off, Before Odin sat on the nest he removed a broken piece of branch from it and I could not see the egg at all, either when EJ was wrestling with the branch and she was stood up a while nor when Odin took over "sitting duties". Odin just stood up to re-arrange some moss and the egg looks intact. For a little while I thought it must have been scrambled. This is one of those occasions when I wish we could have a replay.

I think we have a second egg, but the sun at this time in the morning makes it difficult to see. EJ got up at 7.13am when Odin was on the nest and it looked like 2 to me. Odin peered down at the egg(s) just like he did with the first.

Here is a photo capture of it.
