Hi Folks,

EJ is back on the nest and I have a feeling today might be the day for a male to arrive.
Not only is she moving sticks around she is looking skywards as if she senses another bird somewhere and I am sure I heard a small call from her.

Ann :egghead::flyaway::flyaway:
The Osprey Godmother

Hope you're right Ann, I need to hear some good news from Loch Garten

I hope its just fell off :(

He'll turn up tomorrow to cheer us all up. Or maybe he's waiting til the weekend to make his entrance cos he knows all the Monday to Friday workers can see him.

I can't believe we have lost Nethy I think she has just lost her tag, well I hope so. It looks like we will have to wait for another three years to be sure.

Typical I leave my laptop to do a bit of gardening, refill my feeders and get the drinks in for my party tomorrow night and I miss all the action.

Who is this young pretender? Will VS turn up and kick his butt like last year?

Let the season commence :t:

I just happened to check the webcam and could see the bottom of another osprey sitting on the edge of the nest - WOW! he then flew round so we had a good frontal of him - very dark plumage, definately no orange ring - looked like white/silver ring - hope the LG team can zoom in and put us out of our misery - The Facebook LG Bloggers are hoping its Henry! They certainly didnt waste time getting down to the important jobs!!

I actually thought I seen a white/silver ring but it looked like fat legs to me with my bad eyes LOL. Oh lordy what if it is Henry. I said he might be back a few posts up LOL. If its drama you want watch Loch Garten. If its nagging you want watch Lowes ha ha ha.

Great excitement as to the new male is. Although we have only got one capture it suggests that this new male may have a metal ring on its left leg. If this is true it may be an English, Welsh or Scandanavian bird. So we might be about to enter a new era.

I guess everyone will be setting their alarms for first light!

They were both on the eyrie at 8.30am,looking very much like a happy couple.Could not get a good look at his legs,to determine who he is.
