It looks like we were all wrong on the dates for the arrival of the pair, unless Loch Garten are keeping quiet about it, hope we don't have to wait to long for news.
That nest looks pretty untouched. Looks like they got delayed. Guess we all lost our bets.

Has an osprey turned up. I can't quite make out in the photo whether its another branch or a bird.

Can't make it out either way. BTW, what cam is this pic from? My view of what appears to be the Garten cam is completely different (and there is no evidence of birds).

i cant see a bird in that picture. is that the only evidence or has one actually been seen by someone?

The reason I posted the photo was because I couldn't make out what the blob was and wondered if it could be a bird, I don't understand why they showed the feeding tree unless they were just testing it.

Sorry about the photo, I have just had another look at it, I can't see the blob anymore I viewed it in daylight and it looks totally different in room lighting.

Notice how this new nest camera has night sights.

Hey, yes. This could be really good if it continues. I have just looked at 21.18 tonight and it is as clear as daylight. All we want now is a bird, preferably two. Oh, and eventually some little ones.

Anyone getting concerned about EJ?? She is week late.

Strong adverse winds for a few days now may explain the situation. Am sure these will drop out soon and then there will be lots of action, not only from the Osprey nesting but also for all the other migrants which do not seem to have appeared in numbers yet.

Hi Everybody,

The blog has been updated today Tuesday 3rd April and still no sign of our Henry and E J. I hope they are still safe somewhere where it is sunny and warm.

I did see a Capercaillie on the nest at weekend, I think.

Sandra there is an Osprey at Spey Bay ,might see you when you get here. :t:

Sorry, Henry - hadn't read your post before we left. Didn't make Spey Bay but we did see an osprey over the fishfarm in Aviemore on Monday 4.30 ish.
Had a smashing break - managed caper without getting up at some unearthly hour and golden eagle. Will be posting report today/tomorrow.

Sandra
