Hi Ann,
I got it wrong this morning the other eggs are still whole but right now Marge is feeding a very hungry young Bart, poor little chap is going to get a shock when he has two others begging for food as well, sorry don't know how to put that. Marge is so tender, I have noticed how carefully she removes any tough bits, bones etc. and he only gets the best pieces, she even removes ones he finds difficult and eats them herself.
What a time for your PC to pack in, I just had a look at the Goshawks as well and mum seemed to be having a football match with her young ones, she had them all on their backs wonder if they are practising for the English squad as it was obviously all in fun if that makes sense. The bird sounds down there are fantastic and there is a man (can't see him (who I am sure is on guard in a pair of hob nailed boots the noise he makes, even at midnight last night I wonder if is their way of letting people know the birds are well guarded, sorry don't know how else to put that but if it is the case well done that man.
I just had a quick peep at EJ sitting in the sun and I am sure she can hear movements in her eggs, although not looking at them she is very alert "ears on stalks" as it were.
When they all start hatching and growing how are we going to keep watching them all?
Since I came home I have seen my large female Blackbird taking nesting material into my large hedge at the back which thankfully has the church behind and not the shears wielding maniac next door.
I hope there are enough of us to keep you posted until you get your PC sorted and especially those who have mastered the art of copying pictures over for you.
Bye for now.
