More than likely be at the hide as i will be taking the big lens etc with me, so hoping for a flyby shot. Are there any other bird feeders around to keep my daughter happy as she loves viewing birds and animals?

there are 3 hides to view the ospreys with free telescopes to use. The hides are about a ten second walk away from the centre!! In the centre there is a huuuugggeee window that looks out onto a dozen or so different feeders. there are seats to sit and watch the squirrels, voles and loads of different types of birds. If your daughter is old enough to sit and watch by herself she won't be bored :) The hides are only half a minute from the big window. Its really compact How old is your daughter?

hello Blueboy. Welcome to the LOL forum. Its terrific with sound. It looks like the HD camera is back on line YAY. Don't be afraid to post ANYTHING you see and hear. A few of us work during the day and miss the day to day happenings at the nest and the ideal way to catch up is to read other peoples comments.

My daughter is 12 years old and very responsible so it should be fine.Would be better if the windows opened and then i could get a few pics with a smaller lens as well ---or is there a bit where i could take pics of birds etc going to and from the feeders? And thanks for the info

Ah she'll love it. The gift shop isn't expensive either surprisingly. There are loads of places to take pictures outside the centre. My first visit there I went to the loo and was surprised to be met by a red squirrel on the handrail outside it.
