That is certainly a big catch hope the one eating share. Glad you had a good day Anne really must try and get up there with the camera.

It is so different to be there in person; the rangers can't possibly capture half the stuff that's going on on the webcam.
Nick, I am now rethinking my own November trip to Dunkeld. #1 I just found out how much it is going to cost me to get new siding and windows for my house; and #2 if I delay the trip to the spring or summer I will get to see OSPREYS. I am thinking that this time next year may be the best of all, so I can see some flying chicks maybe.

Wow, chick with the fish just pushed mom right off the nest, then she did a low flyover and hit something close to the webcam mike! I heard the weirdest choking sounds coming from the chick that's eating, I think, too. But it didn't collapse so I guess it was just trying to talk with its mouth full? Come on back, mom, and show him/her who's boss...

I cannot believe what I have just witnessed. All of it I mean - The piglet, the youngster and as always the star of the show Mum. She handled that to perfection, knowing that she daren't risk injury. Even down to putting herself between the young one and 'the balloon' when there was an attempt to take it back. I did notice, Mum still seems to be sneezing.

i missed the swap Tom but i did indeed see mum shake her head again. She wasn't doing it a little while ago so i.m not gonna dwell on it . . . . yet.

This is how it happened, chick 2 moved to the back of the nest, with fish in talon - Lady moved along side and got a hold of fish with her beak, but couldn't hold it. She then stepped forward and got her foot on it and took it away from chick 1. Chick 2 went crazy and moved towards Mum, who let chick 2 take it. Chick 1 then made an attempt to move towards chick 2 for a snatch back, but Mum put herself between chick 2 and chick1. Chick 1 conceded and backed off.
