Hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong section - new to all of this! Been a really welcoming site so far, which is lovely. I often go jogging in the London parks and see all sorts of wonderful looking birds, some of which can't be from the UK originally! Is there a 'best' park in London for birding?

What is everyone's favourite London bird?

Thanks! Alexandra.

Hi again Alexandra. The ponds in Kensington Gardens and St James Park do have mostly non-native species. However, the wider areas trees etc have a wide variety of passerines, corvids, etc.

London covers such a large area it's difficult to know where to advise you... Hampstead Heath is good. But have a look through some of our Opus articles (this will get you started and you can click on the links for the various articles). Then you might like to do a search for the surrounding counties to see if there's any near where you are.

Do come back if you need more help.
