Looking for help with remembering a word (1 Viewer)

Hi, as Cognitive Decline progresses, I find myself struggling to remember words. The latest is a noun to describe a book of natural history that studies one particular species, e.g. J.A. Baker's 'The Peregrine'. Words like signature, epigraph, etc. are circling in my head so it might be related to these. Any ideas, anyone?

Monograph?

Cheers

Hi, Sancho.

Sorry to hear of your cognitive decline. I take it it isn't just old age - don't feel you have to answer that.

Actually, The Peregrine isn't a monograph - like my Razor In The Wind, it is a novel which is mainly about one species.

'The Hobby', by Anthony Chapman, or The Eurasian Hobby, by K.D. Fiuczynski, and similar studies, are monographs.

All the best.

Richard
