Another great viewing. and some more interesting 'bugs and beasties' too. :t: I felt so disappointed about the 5 second flash we got of the Dwarf Kingfisher. What a stunning little bird. There was another bird held to be checked, but once more it was a glimpse once again so disappointing. It looked brown with white markings - like a Dipper. A possible type of Kookaburra looking bird, was noted for another 5 second flash too. The moth that appeared from the crysalise(sp) was stunning - what colours. Never expected that at all. Lots of cute Frogs once more - there are so many of them to study. The bird of Paradise took the programme by storm - was that a stunning bird to look at. The colours of both the male and female where beautiful to look at. Gordon got a great film of them mating while sitting in the tree. I feel sorry for him having to deal with all the biting insects - it looks so uncomfortable. Still do not understand the the Cave visit is fully about, but it was interesting to see inside a cave that has never been visited by man. Next week all parties will be setting up camp in the Volcano 'mouth' itself. So that will be interesting too Regards Kathy x
