Probably a silly one, I am embarrassed I need to get on here.

I was in the marsh at Fontainebleau a couple days ago, I saw this guy and don't don't recognize it. Hmmmmm, all I have is my phone (duh) but I will get the best pics I can.

Not great, but not too far off, the bird itself was a slate grey, with the neck lighter in shade.

Everything about it screams "Marsh Bird".

The colors in the photo are fairly accurate.

So anyone recognize this guy so my humiliation will be complete? 🤣🤣😂😂
