LSU team breaks big day record (1 Viewer)

There are roads in this country (and at least formerly in Germany) that have no speed limits. .

In the USA absence of posted speed limits in public roads does not imply that you can drive at any speed you want. States have general maximum speeds for such roads depending on whether they are in rural or urban areas. My guess is that something similar is also true in Peru. In the USA the only exception would be private roads, obviously whole inside a private property, and not open to general public travel.

I don't think 'big' days are feasible in the UK. ;)

The most recent (2011) ABA Big Day & ABA List Report gave the UK record as 147 (England, 11 May 1996). But only seven UK big day totals had been submitted to ABA (all for the period 1989–2000)...

Only just noticed this thread. I did a couple of day lists in the late 80's/early 90's - one in Dorset and one in East Anglia - starting and finishing in Cambridge.

I always expected the opening of the A14 making an East-West route feasible combining the longest period of daylight with East Anglian and North Welsh diversity to herald a new age of UK daylist attempts. This is possibly more feasible now that there are fewer working static speed cameras.....

All the best
