Wiener (</strong><strong>fl. 1879</strong>),<em> FSZ</em>, an Austrian-born aviculturist, who bought a few specimens of this bird from a Bird trader in London (the latter claiming them as originating from Australia!) and then supplied Dr. Karl Russ with the Type/s. </p><p></p><p>In 1879 (18th of June) Mr. Wiener himself, personally exhibited some of these, "his own" astrilds on a meeting with the <em>Zoological Society of London</em>. </p><p></p><p>One year later the same Wiener (together with Mr. Blakston and Mr. Swaysland) published the Book <em>The illustrated book of canarie and cage-birds, British and Foreign</em><span style="color: blue">**</span> (1878), <a href="http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/101262#page/7/mode/1up" target="_blank"><u>here</u></a>, where this bird also had an entry of its own (p.380, <a href="http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/101262#page/466/mode/1up" target="_blank"><u>here</u></a>): <u>Note</u> that the latter book claim the OD as "<em>Ægintha Wieneri</em> (Russ)"</p><p></p><p>Thats´s about it, what I´ve got on Mr. August F.
